Established

Learning Possibilities is established as part of MPC International, an international distributor of the newly invented Texas instruments laptop with a recently graduated Mehool Sanghrajka at the helm.

2001

JOINT VENTURE WITH JARVIS PLC (FTSE250)

The company enters into a joint venture with Jarvis plc (FTSE250) and works on £2bn of PFI school ICT managed services provision.

2004

ACQUIRED BY ENTERPRISE PLC (FTSE250)

The company is acquired by Enterprise and moves into becoming a major contractor for the national BSF programme, providing ICT services to 21,000 schools.

2005

LP+ is born

We invent the first cloud based learning platform on Microsoft technology.

2007

LEARNING POSSIBILITIES IS ESTABLISHED

Mehool Sanghrajka and Prof. Stephen Heppell lead an MBO of the LP+ learning platform and community.

2010

LP+ ADOPT PUBLISHED

First to publish a learning platform e-maturity model (ADOPT) that is published by a UK Government Agency as the National Framework for technology adoption in schools. Also winner of the prestigious BETT Award

2012

LP+4 LAUNCHED WINNING 2 NATIONAL CONTRACTS

Launch of LP+4, the company’s new flagship LMS and cloud solutions, winning two National contracts (Kuwait and Wales) for bi-lingual hosted LMS’.

2014

PARTNER OF THE YEAR AWARD FINALIST

The company is recognised as finalist for 2014 Microsoft Public Sector: Education Partner of the Year Award.

2015

MICROSOFT GLOBAL ALLIANCE

The company forms a Global Alliance with Microsoft and renews National contract with Wales to 2018. The company also joins the G-Cloud Framework to provide IaaS and SaaS solutions to the public sector.

2016

CREATION OF LP+365

The company’s latest learning and collaborative platform LP+365 is built as an App for Microsoft Office 365, and partners are signed up to distribute the LMS in over 20 countries. The company is shortlisted for the Education Investor Award again, after winning for 2 consecutive years in 2014 and 2015.

2017

PARTNER OF THE YEAR AWARD FINALIST

The company is recognised as finalist for 2017 Microsoft Public Sector: Education Partner of the Year Award.

2018

STUDENT ANALYTICS ADDED TO LP+365

The company adds student analytics to its flagship product LP+365 and continues to further develop the application.

2019

LP OPENS ITS FIRST OFFICE IN ASIA IN SINGAPORE

Learning Possibilities opens its Singapore office to manage its operations in Asia.

2020

EDUCATION & COVID19

Learning Possibilities develops new solutions to help schools during the pandemic. The Education 2021 webinar series is born.

Dr Mehool Sanghrajka MBE

Founder and Chief Executive

Mehool is a seasoned and serial entrepreneur, with over 20 years’ experience in the education industry. He has started and built SMEs that have worked with governments in the UK as well as in developing and emerging markets. These have been leading edge businesses with disruptive and transformative solutions for education, the last two being acquired by FTSE250 companies, which has made Mehool a skilled Managing Director and Chairman.

Mehool is the Managing Trustee of the Institute of Jainology and represents the Jain faith at national events in the UK, such as Remembrance Day at the Cenotaph, as well in inter-faith dialogue with the Vatican. Dr Mehool Sanghrajka was awarded an MBE in the 2018 New Year’s Honours list for services to the Jain faith and education.

Prof. Stephen Heppell

Chairman

Stephen Heppell is the Founding Chairman of Learning Possibilities and is a world expert on contemporary learning, specialising in online education and learning spaces. He has decades of experience working with governments, international agencies, Fortune 500 companies, schools and communities, PhD students and many influential trusts and organisations around the world. Stephen is Professor of the Felipe Segovia Chair of Learning Innovation at Universidad Camilo José Cela, Madrid, and Emeritus Professor Chair in New Learning Environments, Anglia Ruskin University.

Dr Michael Lightfoot

Senior Education Consultant

Michael is a senior education consultant, with more than 30 years of professional experience in the fields of Education Technology, Capacity Building, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Lifelong Learning including technical advice on technology in education to governments in European countries, The Middle East, South America and South East Asia. Michael holds a Doctorate from the Institute of Education at University College, London.

Mandeep Dhillon

Chief Technical Officer

Mandeep joined the Company in 2016 as Chief Technology Officer from Close Brothers Group plc where he had been IT Transformation and Delivery Manager.

He oversees the platform, development and support teams and has managed transformations of large, critical banking platforms using teams within Linux, Storage, Oracle, and Microsoft domains.

Gerald Sumpter

Commercial Director

Gerald is a business leader with over 40 years’ experience as a commercial manager and director, in the technology industries, both in the UK and internationally.

His work includes bid and contract negotiation, contract management, sales and general management.

Vishaal Shah

Group Finance Director

Vishaal has over a decade of investment and finance experience across hedge funds, mutual funds, private equity and venture capital. He has worked for a range of finance institutions including FTSE listed asset management companies and Asia focused Private Equity firms, managing over USD 1bn in his career.

An environmentally conscious entrepreneur, Vishaal has also worked periodically with the International Sustainability Unit and OECD on climate change related policies, and is on the board of a number of sustainable and social enterprises. A keen squash player, Vishaal is scheduled to play in the World Squash Masters Championships in 2021.

David Farquharson

Senior Corporate Adviser

David is a founder of London Law Collective and a recognised expert in advising SMEs, start-ups, and entrepreneurs, with a passion for helping them to achieve business growth. His areas of legal expertise include corporate; commercial contracts; data protection and privacy (including GDPR); employment; and dispute resolution. David is Senior Advisor to the management team at Learning Possibilities.
